Huey A. Mills, in 1962 at age sixteen, left home to enter a Bible academy. Later that year he preached his first sermon. In 1970, Mills began pastoring.
In 1982, he organized Fellowship Bible Church which he continues to pastor.
In addition to pastoring, Dr. Mills has taught at two Bible colleges, administrated two Christian schools, one which (Carolina Christian Academy) he founded in 1996. Carolina Christian Academy enrolls today about two hundred students and is considered one of the top Christian schools in South Carolina.
Dr. Mills is a South Carolina Christian education leader, serving as President of the South Carolina Association of Christian schools, an association of over sixty schools. He has assisted about a dozen churches in Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina in starting Christian schools.
He was named in “Who’s Who in Religion” in 1992 and “Who’s Who” in 2002.
Additionally, Mills served on South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer’s Education Advisory Committee during the Sanford administration, and currently serves on the boards of The Palmetto Family Council, John Phillips Ministries International, and the Executive Board of the American Association of Christian Schools.
Dr. Mills holds a B.A. from Southern Wesleyan University, a B.S.L. from Holmes Theological Seminary, a M.R.E. from Heritage Graduate School and a Ph.D., from Andersonville Baptist Seminary.
Dr. Mills says that the joy of his life is seeing boys and girls come to Jesus and then being able to prepare them in kindergarten through the twelfth grade to serve the Lord by serving others wherever they can, in church, at work, or in the community.
